We're so happy that we have finally found our new home!
It has been an exciting couple of weeks! We found our home and with a lot of help from the contractor, the floor guy, painter, AC guys, the electrician, plumber and landscaper we'll make it the perfect home for us. We close on August 26th and hope to move in mid-late September. We'll have lots of space for visitors (including a guest suite) and are looking forward to hosting friends and family soon. For the record, Karen Fishman called dibs on the South by Southwest even before we actually decided to move!
We're getting used to Austin and are trying to take advantage of as much as possible. Austin is a pretty fit and healthy city and we're trying to fit right in. Here we are breaking in the new jogging stroller. Our new house is in walking distance of a bunch of stuff (although very hilly) but I'm looking forward to when we're in the house and the stroller can live in the garage instead of in the back of my car!

Our friends Jon, Lisa, and Drew (Baby Nathan stayed at home with his grandparents)had a quick vacation at a resort near Austin called Lost Pines so we went for a quick visit. It is always fun to see Drew and "Little Jake" together!
Sharing some yummy fruit loops.
After a day of fun in the sun with the Adler's, Jake crashed on the way home. Good thing he had Cookie Monster and Elmo to keep him company.
Lost Pines is a popular place because just two days later Aunt Loretta and Uncle Ken were also there and came into Austin for dinner. Sadly, no pictures but it was wonderful as always to see them!
Last weekend we went to our first tot shabbat. It was a little chaotic but it was fun. He went crazy for David melach!! Tomorrow we're hitting another...OMG we're tot shabbat hopping!
We started swim lessons this week at the JCC. It is Monday-Thursday for two weeks. He's very comfortable in the water but much more concerned about all the toys rather than doing the activities. I don't know that he'll be a swimmer after just two weeks but hopefully is will do something and it will be fun.
Playing at the playground at the JCC!
