Outstanding October!

Can anyone tell me where October went to? It has been a fun but busy month with lots of work travel for me and football for all of us!

Alex even took a trip to Colorado to see the Dawgs play Boulder. Jake and I had a good time hanging out just the two of us! We went to the park, lunched, shopped and probably watched one or two Dinosaur Trains.

Lightning McQueen PJ's - So cool!

Have I mentioned that Jake has taken over my dining room? I'm coming to terms with it but haven't yet been able to switch the art. Jake loves it so it makes it okay.

The birthday celebrations continued...We were so happy to celebrate the birthday of our favorite twins, Ava and John Menfi! Jake and I had a blast (after an initial hesitation) at the bouncy party! In fact we liked it so much that we're having Jake's party (with his girl Leah) there as well!

We've also been taking advantage of the summer-like weather and doing a little riding outside. I'm not (really) complaining but my sweaters are dying to come out and play!

We celebrated Jake's friend Solomon's birthday party at a new bouncy place called Locomotion. Jake in the Crazy House and literally bouncing off the walls with his friend Jack.

Lunch and and an amazing cake.
Back for more with Jack and friends

Jake finally conquered the dragon!

With a Georgia night game, we took advantage of a football free Saturday to head out to Sweet Berry Farm to see the pumpkins. It was a very happy coincidence to find out that the Avigael's were also planning to head out that day too. So we decided to meet up for a fun day out.

As soon as Leah arrived (with Josh, Kelly and Baby Ben) the two little cuties ran around chasing each other and laughing up a storm!

What a difference a year makes! Last year for Leah's birthday they had a party on a farm and Jake and the other kids were all afraid to get on the pony and had varying interest in the different farm animals. But not this time, Jake and Leah saddled up and went on their way. It was awesome to watch the little cowboy and cowgirl. They're so stinkin' cute!
They rode the barrel train too...without their mommies.

They even got to paint pumpkins...Jake picked a good one!

I can't believe how quickly October went by. The final weekend was a big one! Saturday we went with Daddy to watch football with Daddy and the Austin Dawgs. Alex single handedly has revieved the Georgia Alumni group here in Austin and they had about 60 people for the Georgia/Florida game. Although we didn't like the outcome it was so much fun to watch with the Austin Dawgs.

Hanging with the Dawgs and one of his favorite teachers, Katherine, who happens to have gone to UGA.

And finally we celebrated Jake's 3rd Halloween. This year we were an animal once again....the cutest little cow ever! Moooooooo!

I don't know who was more excited when the costume arrived! We had to practice wearing the costume in preparation for the big night. Beyond the cuteness, all that practice yielded some of my favorite shots.
Pre-trick or treating Skype and snack session with Bubba
So we practiced and we were ready to go! We headed over to Jake's friend Alex's (yes, we've had conversation about Alex the daddy and Alex the friend) house for some trick-or-treating fun. Alex, Mom, Dad and Baby Brooke live in an awesome neighborhood for Halloween complete with parade and tons of decorations. Alex was a perfect little farmer and Jake the cutest cow ever. They were so cute together!

I'm not sure that Jake totally understood the concept of trick-or-treating but he loved his pumpkin, playing with Alex and of course the candy!

Tired from a fun but long night....until next year.
