Father's Day opened with being woken up by an adorable baby boy crawling on my chest and Jake and his mom giving me my Father's Day cards as well as a terrific present that will come in very handy for my Blackberry and iPod.
The plan was to have brunch at a new place in Old Town called "Jameson's Grille" (located in The Westin) and the breakfast was delicious and as you can see, the company was even better:

After brunch, I decided what I wanted was to spend some nice quiet time at home with them, relax & let Jake play while Becca and I finished a great movie we started the night before (before Becca, predictably, fell asleep...poor Becca).

Later in the day, after catching a movie with some friends in the afternoon, I came back home to a very special visitor coming to town: Jake's Godmother, Libby, visiting for work from San Francisco. Libby is not only a special friend to Becca and I, but special to Jake with the unique role we wanted her to have as Jake's Godmother.
Because of the distance, Libby had not gotten to see Jake since February and boy was she surprised at how much Jake has grown and changed in the last 5 months.

Today, we had to say goodbye to Libby, sadly, but it was a special day nonetheless as Jake turned 7 months!!! It's amazing to reflect on how much he's changed, but it wasn't more evident than when we tried to take the pictures with the piece of paper earlier tonight and Jake spent more time than ever, squirming and trying to eat the paper, ultimately.

What a nice couple of days with Jake, despite the fact that we lost power last night (all over the area) and had to have dinner with Libby and change and put Jake down, all by candlelight. But an adventure nonetheless.
