Weekend fun!

We had another very busy but very fun weekend! On Saturday we had two parties to go to and Jake, of course, was a big hit at both!

First we spent some time with my Partnership for Public Service co-workers at our summer party. The last time that Jake saw anyone from the Partnership he was probably only two or three months old so they couldn't believe how big he has gotten. I was especially excited for Jake to meet my co-worker Heidi's 10-month old adorable son Alan.

Jake and Alan playing....kind of! More like hide from the camera!

Jake confused Daddy's bottle with him own.

Jake also went for a quick dip in the pool. My co-worker Sally (a former nanny) was more than happy to take him in the water and that worked out well for me.

Next we were off to a housewarming party for Alex's college friend Matt and his wife Miriam.

Jake got to meet another baby, James, who is only three days younger than Jake!

Most amusing and unfortunately not captured on camera, was watching our friend and father-to-be Darren and Jake. Darren was acting almost as crazy as Alex goes for Jake!

We were all pooped when we got home but Sunday wasn't any quieter! We had a nice brunch with Alex's old co-worker from Virilion, Mark and his wife, Kindra. Then Alex and Jake had some good boy bonding time while I had some time out and about. We ended the busy weekend with some quiet time at home cooking dinner and playing with Jake. I can't think of anything better!

Jake's been practicing standing up and balancing on his own (with a little help from the chair).

Look ma, no hands!

Yes, that's a banana on his butt.

Check out the front!
Silly monkey! Thanks, Auntie Libby!
