We're lucky to live close to two of Alex's cousins, Ashley and Russell, but this weekend in honor of Ashley's graduation from law school (CONGRATS ASHLEY!) we were excited to have Jake meet the rest of the Brott Family. Somehow we missed getting pictures with Josh and the graduation girl herself, Ashley. Next time...

Other special visitors this week were our friends Mark and Evan. I go way back with both, meeting Evan when we went to Israel when we were 16 and I probably met Mark about the same time. Now that is when I met them but they met each other at our wedding and have been together since! They both were looking forward to telling Jake all kinds of stories about his mommy but were thankfully kind. I'm sure they're just waiting until he can understand what they're actually talking about!
Perhaps the biggest excitement was Jake's first taste of "solids". Solids is a generous way to describe Jake's rice cereal! I'd say his reaction was mixed - I wouldn't say he really liked it but he wanted more. Many thanks to Hadley Griffin's mom and dad for giving us the great idea of capturing Jake's first bites on video!

I really can't believe it has already been six-months that we've had Jake in our lives. We love him so much and are enjoying every second of having him here!
