On Friday Auntie Rachel came to DC for a combo wedding, work, and Jake trip. We picked Jake up on Friday afternoon a little early so Auntie Rachel could kiss on him and make up for lost time since she hadn't seen him since he was only 2 months old! That night we walked to Mexican food and Jake made friends with another baby at the restaurant.
Saturday was Jake's first trip to Capitol Hill. It was a beautiful sunny day and we headed over to our friends Kristin and John's to celebrate "Derby Day". We couldn't stay for the Derby but really enjoyed hanging out with everyone. Jake liked flirting with the ladies (especially April), hanging with his buddy Brad, and got a little confused between his baby bottle and a beer bottle! The party wore him out, he couldn't even make it to the car before falling asleep.

Later that day we dropped off Auntie Rachel in Old Town and Alex and I decided to park and enjoy the beautiful weather. Jake let us stay out for dinner and even ice cream!
The biggest news of the weekend is that Jake SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT! That's right, from 7:30 p.m to 6:30 a.m. -- the whole night! I'm not expecting him to do it again any time soon but it sure would be great!
Sunday Jake and I went back to Old Town to have brunch with Auntie Rachel. Jake slept through a really nice brunch at Cafe Salsa and a quick hello from Rachel's boyfriend Warren (we like to call him Uncle Warren Diller).

After brunch Jake and I headed over to our friend Nikki, Andrew, and Cole's for play-group. It was so fun to see how big all the babies after about a month. Everyone has gotten so big and much more interactive with each other. It was so funny trying to take the picture below. Patrick, the oldest of our group, started crying and then it was downhill from there until they were all crying! That was the end of it for the babies but it was a fun afternoon!

After playgroup Jake and daddy caught up on the day (Also just a really cute photo).

Recently Jake decided that the bath was a fun place to hang out (Maybe it's the new rubber duckies from Cal & Lynda). Check out a short video of tonight's bath time.

Thanks honey...I look forward to those blog postings. This time I got to see 3 of my favorite people...Jake, Rachel and Alex, but no picture of you. Guess I'll have to wait till next weekend for the real thing.
Love ya/mom
