Fun in the park and with Grandpa Jerry!

Saturday was a beautiful day and Alex and I were excited to take Jake to his first kid birthday party before picking up my dad (aka Grandpa Jerry) from the airport. Our friends Bill and Kerry Garber's son JP was turning two so we loaded Jake up and headed to the park. After a bit of a detour we finally found Beverly Park only to find out that I had gotten the date wrong and the party was actually on Sunday! Oops!

The upside is that we had a great morning playing at our new favorite park and then having a fun brunch out! The park had all kinds of fun toys out for everyone. Jake took a spin in a cool ride and then decided to just push the darn thing!

Still a little unsure about the swing and Jake was not real crazy about the slide.

Back to the park on Sunday for JP's birthday and fun with Grandpa Jerry!





Grandpa and Jake had lots of quality time together, had fun playing, and went on lots of walks! On Sunday afternoon Alex and I took advantage of the free babysitter and went out with friends for a movie and dinner. Grandpa and Jake went on a long walk, played, had dinner, and successfully went to bed on time!

Grandpa's visit also brought a new toy for Jake! See him in action with his new truck!

The fun continued on Monday morning when Grandpa took Jake into school but only after a long walk, playtime, and in shocking news...a nap! We're considering hiring him as a 'manny'.
