Rain Rain Go Away

It was a cold and rainy weekend in DC, the kind that you just want to stay in bed. We put our house on the market and had realtors in on Saturday and an open house on Sunday.

Saturday we went on a shopping spree for Jake! He graduated to a new class at school and appearantly they run around more and he needs new shoes. So Jake got 4 new pairs of shoes (they're just all too cute) and a bunch of clothes for warmer weather, if it ever gets here. After we did our part to help the economy, we had a fun lunch and let Jake run around the play area at the mall. He did great and only got knocked down once by another kid! It was a fun family day. Somehow Jake even managed to ward off a quack attack!

Sunday, Jake and I headed to Gymboree before heading out for the day again. Today was all about pushing and pulling but all Jake wanted to do was rock! He found the play boat and he could have stayed there all day. Despite it all, his favorite remains the slide! After Gymboree we all went to meet the Treger's for lunch. Shana and her sister, Tia, came and joined us first. Jake's friend Spencer is appearantly a much better napper than Jake so Spencer and his dad, Greg, joined us later. It was so nice to catch up with them and Jake and Spencer haven't had nearly enough bonding time so it was good for them to get to hang!

It is a busy time for me at work as we're beginning the process of reviewing nominations for the Service to America Medals program. Since I had 60 nominations to read Jake thought he'd help his mommy out and pitch in to help.

I'm hopeful that it will be a good week. We'll update everyone on Jake's first week in his new class soon. Have a great week!
