Grandparents in town for Jake's 9 month birthday

There was more work travel at the beginning of this week as I headed to Atlanta from Monday through Thursday, but Becca and Jake were not alone as Jake's great Aunt Cindy was in town and came over with cousins Ashley and Russell for a nice visit for this ever growing boy.

Jake gave Ashley (who's headed out of the country for a few months) a nice sendoff and I returned home on Thursday, very much missing my guy.

On Friday, Jake's "east coast" grandparents drove up from North Carolina for a weekend visit, and shockingly, were excited to see their grandson.

We all had a very relaxing weekend & were appreciative of some special grandparent babysitting Saturday night so that we could head to Bethesda to our friend's Darren's Birthday.

Today, Jake officially turned 9 months old - happy birthday! For his birthday, Jake wore some special new clothes his mommy and I bought him yesterday.

Finally, we want to recognize a "V.I.P." birthday today. Besides Jake's friend and soon to be new dad himself, Darren, today is also Jake's Godmother's Birthday, Libby, who we are sure is celebrating in style out in San Francisco.
